Tony Thompson, Thompson National Properties, and TNP Strategic Retail Trust are the defendants in a new class action just filed by securities attorneys Jason Kane and Joe Peiffer, along with their co-counsel, on behalf of certain TNP Strategic Retail Trust investors.
This is the third class action filed by attorneys Rosca and Peiffer on behalf of investors in programs sponsored by Thompson National Properties. The previous two class actions have been filed on behalf of investors in TNP 6700 Santa Monica Boulevard and TNP 2008 Participating Notes.
Attorneys Rosca and Peiffer also represent other Thompson National Properties investors in FINRA arbitration proceedings in connection with their TNP investments.
In the class action filed on behalf of investors in TNP Strategic Retail Trust, the Complaint alleges that TNP SRT, Thompson National Properties, Anthony Thompson, and certain other affiliated individuals and entities, violated Sections 11, 12(a)(2) and/or 15 of the Securities Act of 1933 by, among other things, including material misrepresentations and omissions in TNP SRT’s offering documents about the financial health of TNP and its affiliates and about the performance of earlier real estate programs sponsored by the TNP.
Thompson National Properties investors continue to contact attorneys Rosca and Peiffer regarding their investments. Several TNP programs, including TNP 12% Notes, TNP 2008 Participating Notes, and TNP Strategic Retail Trust, have failed to pay investor distributions for many months. Two other TNP programs – Bruin Fund and TNP 6700 Santa Monica Boulevard (“TNP Kodak”) have closed after incurring substantial losses.
